Meet Our Doctors
Gregg Bennett, DVM graduated from Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1984. He built Tumwater Veterinary Hospital in 1989 and has recently moved it to a new location. Dr. Bennett is a very skilled surgeon and he has a special interest in Veterinary Rehabilitation. He received post-graduate training from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine in Animal Rehabilitation and is eligible to be certified as a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner. In 2008 Gregg opened Four Paws Animal Rehabilitation where he works three afternoons per week providing geriatric and post-surgical rehabilitation for dogs.
Lina Wachsmuth, DVM graduated from Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2003. She has worked at Tumwater Veterinary Hospital since that time. Dr. Lina is a skilled surgeon and has additional training in diagnostic ultrasound. She performs many life saving surgeries for dogs and cats. She is photographed below with her dog Potato.
Dr. Maggie Spath graduated in 2006 from the Royal Veterinary College in London, England, and has practiced in the South Puget Sound ever since. A native of California’s San Francisco Bay Area, she came to Washington as a transplant. Dr. Spath loves general practice because of its variety, but gets most excited about a wretched dermatology case, or the diagnostic puzzle of internal medicine. She can boast good surgical skills as well. Dr. Spath lives in Tumwater with her husband, two daughters, one son, a dog and a cat. She enjoys volunteering her time to promote veterinary medicine to local schools and organizations.
Dr. Cathy Olson, DVM earned her degree in Veterinary Medicine in 1998 from the University of Georgia. She has special interests in dentistry, internal medicine, feline medicine and dermatology. Dr. Olson has two cats named Sizzles and Sqweak, a spouse in the Air Force and four children ages 10 to 14.
