Here at South Tower Animal Hospital, our friendly and professional doctors, technicians and animal care professionals will interact with your pet. Meet the staff below;

Jessica Wardell - Registered Veterinary Technician

Jessica graduated from Georgian College in 2009.  Jessica has 2 cats, Black Cat and Lilly, a  20 year old horse named Jimmy, and a 43 year old horse named Bart.  In her spare time she enjoys swimming, horseback riding, and spending time with her family.  She has a daughter who loves to ride Bart around the field at her parents farm.

Linsey Black- Veterinary Technician

Linsey graduated from the Veterinary Technician program at Northern College in 2013, achieved a certificate in wildlife rehabilitation in 2014, and achieved a certificate in Companion Animal Physical Rehabilitation in 2015.

She is the newest member of our team, joining us in October 2015.  She has experience with lions, tigers, reptiles, lemurs and other exotic animals, as well as cats, dogs, and horses.

Erin Duffy - Registered Veterinary Technician 

Erin graduated from Sheridan College at Davis campus in 2016.
She spent 3 semesters doing college co-op at our clinic, when we offered her a permanent position.

Erin has a dog named Eddie and a cat named Thomas.

Marion Burnell-Grant - Customer Service Representative

Marion graduated from the University of Guelph with an Honours BSc in Biological Science.  An avid naturalist, Marion has always had a keen interest in all forms of animal life and was surrounded by a menagerie of different creatures while growing up.
In recent years her career path has gravitated to working with people and their domestic pets.  Interests include drawing, writing, hiking and observing the natural world.  She lives north of Belwood with her husband, two daughters and an assortment of feathered, furred and finned species.

Dawn Boyd - Customer Service Representative

Dawn joined our team in October 2014, as a part time receptionist. She has a dog named Dakota, and loves interacting with clients and their pets on a daily basis.  She is one of the first people you will meet coming through the door. She is a mother of 3 children and as a "Hockey mom", she has a very busy schedule!  She has a medical administration diploma from Academy of Learning.

Pat Mackenzie - Customer Service Representative

Pat joined our team in January 2015, as a part time receptionist. She has many cats that she looks after, both her own and strays that live near her.  She has lived in town her entire life, and knows many people from working at a pet store until she joined us at the clinic!  She is another of the first people you will meet when coming through the door and always has a smile for everyone.

Brittany McDougall - Veterinary Assistant

Brittany completed two high school co-ops with us, and after her final co-op, we decided to make her a member of our team!

Brittany is looking at heading off to college in the fall to become a Veterinary Technician.

Alenna Medeiros - Veterinary Assistant

Alenna completed a high school co-op with us two years ago, and is now currently studying at the University of Guelph, as she is wanting to become a Veterinarian.

Sunny Kwon- Veterinary Assistant

Sunny contacted us earlier in the year looking for a volunteer position over the course of the summer. When a more permanent position opened up, we offered it to her. She is studying animal sciences at the University of Guelph, and works with us part time.

Peach and Tomato - Clinic CatsRhoda and Tomato

 Tomato has lived at the clinic since 2001. She is the oldest member of our team.  She enjoys visiting with the clients, and sitting on peoples shoulders.
Her sister Rhoda was with us until September of 2016, when she passed away.  We then took in Peach, a stray cat that was looking for a home!

Peach is full of energy and is learning her new role as a clinic cat.  Although she does not enjoy having dogs visit, she is getting more used to them.  Peach is often found sleeping, playing, or tormenting Tomato.
