Pet Illness & Emergency Policy:
Your pet's safety is our number one concern while they are staying with us and even if your pet gets sick while you are away be rest assured we will see that they are taken good care of. We have access to veterinarians 7 days a week in the event your pet requires medical attention. We require that all pets are in good health for boarding at all times. In the event your pet becomes ill during their stay, your pet will be required to be seen by a veterinarian. We will notify you and/or your alternate contact in regard to the illness and for authorization of veterinary service. Your pet can be evaluated by one of our veterinarians or by a provider of your choice, assuming you can arrange for transportion of your pet to the provider. A letter from your veterinarian is required for re-entry into the boarding facility documenting that your pet is free of contagious disease and serious illness. Common problems that are seen in boarding and doggy daycare facilities that warrant medical attention include diarrhea (with or without blood), vomiting, anorexia and bladder infections.
In the rare event an emergency situation arises with your pet during their stay, we will notify you and/or your alternative contact immediately. If we can not reach you for authorization of care, your pet will receive emergency treatment either here, at an Affiliated Emergency Veterinary Service or both if needed. All veterinary services, as well as boarding services, rendered to your pet are the responsibility of the pet owner and will need to be paid in full at the time of discharge.
For your pet's protection, your pet will not have physical contact with other dogs or cats during their stay, unless they are from the same household.
Food and Personal Items:
Any animal with external parasites (fleas, ticks, mites) are required to be treated prior to the admittance into the boarding area. The charge for these services will appear on your bill at the time your pet is discharged from the boarding facility.
*We recommend that all animals that board use a monthly flea and tick preventative (ie. Frontline Plus).
Please let us know if your pet has any major health problems so that we can make note on your record (ie. Heart, kidney, liver disease, epilepsy). We also ask all owners to leave an emergency contact number that will allow us to reach you or someone designated by you should any emergency or treatment be necessary.
Minnesota Statue #346.37 Sub D1 Abandoment Agreement:
