Spay & Neuter
Having your pet spayed or neutered is part of responsible pet ownership. Not only are these procedures helpful in preventing animal overpopulation, but they also feature a number of health and behavioral benefits for your pet. For instance, spaying a female cat or dog can prevent dangerous uterine infections, while neutering a male can prevent testicular cancer if done before 6 months of age. Animal Medical Center of Mid-America is dedicated to helping pet owners by offering low-cost spay/neuter programs. We believe every pet should have a chance to live a long, happy and healthy life, and spaying and neutering is a great place to start!
We offer low-cost spay and neuter surgeries for the pets of both Missouri and Illinois residents. All pets that are spayed or neutered at our facilities are treated with pain medication and, with a minimal amount of home care, are back to being normal, happy pets in just a few short days.
Classic Spay / Classic Neuter (Canine and Feline)
AMCMA offers "Classic Spay" / "Classic Neuter" surgeries at all three AMCMA locations and are available to all pet owners regardless of where they reside. Having performed over 370,000 spay / neuter surgeries since 1970, we understand that each pet is unique and needs individual care. All surgeries are performed in one of our three AAHA accredited clinics according to the highest medical standards. All pets undergoing surgery receive general anesthesia and post-operative pain medication. AMCMA is dedicated to keeping spay and neuter affordable, as such we charge clients only the cost to AMCMA to perform the procedures.

A $24.95 non-refundable deposit is required when the appointment is scheduled and will be applied to the balance of the bill on the day of surgery.
SNIP Program (Canine and Feline)
Our Spay/Neuter Incentive Program, SNIP, is for Missouri residents and is offered at all three AMCMA locations. SNIP surgeries are subsidized by donations and grant programs. When this money runs out, SNIP appointments may not be available. Donate to SNIP to make more low-cost surgeries possible. Up to three pets in a household can be spayed or neutered through the SNIP program each year.
