The "Piece" that Fell a "Part"

In the beginning the world was whole and at peace.
And the pieces that made up the whole were never apart.
And because every thing was a "piece",
     no thing was a "part".
For you see a "piece" that's apart is a "part" not a "piece"
And a piece that’s apart is a part not at peace.

This peace lasted for 1000 years until one day a "piece"
     fell from the whole and became a "part".
And this "piece" that became a "part" forgot that
     it had once been a "piece".
And because the "piece" now saw itself a "part",
     it feared the whole and could no longer be at peace
So you see, when the whole lost a "piece";
     the peace then fell apart.
